Block Island Plane Crash Kills NY Man, Injures Two Others
One guy was killed and two others were injured when a small plane crashed during the landing in Rhode Island, ending a tragic voyage from Albany.

According to North Shoreham Police, the single-engine Piper Cherokee Archer was trying to land at Block Island State Airport at 12:30 p.m. when it went over the runway and collided with dense bush.
The plane was on its third landing attempt after taking off from Albany International Airport.
After being pulled from the wreckage, the three New York citizens were transported to Block Island Medical Center. According to authorities, a 77-year-old male passed away during transit. The other two are anticipated to live after being transported by air to Rhode Island Hospital.
According to WRGB, the aircraft belonged to the Albany-based Condair Flyers Flying Club.
Over 20 New Shoreham first responders, including police, firemen, and emergency medical services, arrived at the scene of the collision. Authorities said that there were no injuries on the ground and that there was no fire caused by the collision.
The crash is being looked into by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
