21 Hospitalized After Aliquippa Jr. High Football Bus Crash
According to Beaver County EMS, a school bus carrying football players from Aliquippa Junior High overturned on Shaffer Road in Economy Borough, resulting in 21 hospitalized individuals.

Around 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, a bus carrying kids and employees from the Aliquippa School District crashed, prompting police, fire, and emergency medical services to respond to the scene in the 190 block of Shaffer Road, officials said. Authorities reported that two patients were transported to UPMC Children’s, one was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, and other patients were transported by ground. According to officials, some parents later brought their kids to a hospital in Sewickley.
According to the school, the bus contained two coaches, the driver, and twenty-five kids. According to a social media update from the program, the squad later left the area and the players were being assessed.
According to WTAE, Mayor Dwan Walker urged the public to remember the children and coaches.
