3 Injured In 2-Car Crash: Manchester Twp PD

Three people were injured in a two-car crash in Manchester Township on Monday morning, June 16, authorities said.

At 7:50 a.m., officers responded to the crash at County Route 571 and Beacon Street and found a red 2013 Volvo S60 and a gray 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, Manchester police said.

The Chevrolet had been stopped at a stop sign on Beacon Street, intending to turn left onto Route 571, police said. As the Chevrolet began to make its left turn, it was struck by the Volvo which was traveling eastbound in the left lane of Route 571, police said.

The driver and passenger of the Volvo, both Manchester residents, were transported to a nearby facility with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver of the Chevrolet, a Manchester resident, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, but police said failure to yield the right of way appears to be the primary contributing factor.
