Nassau Police Report Five Children in Car When Drunk Seaford Man Collides at Massapequa Park

Nassau County police said Friday, Aug. 15, that a Seaford man was charged with driving under the influence while carrying five children in his SUV when he collided with a parked vehicle in Massapequa Park.

According to authorities, Francisco Pimentel, 42, struck an unoccupied car at approximately 9 p.m. while operating a 2010 GMC on Harbor Lane.

Five youngsters, ages 10, 11, 12, and 13, were later found inside the SUV by investigators. While the others were released to family members, three were taken to nearby hospitals for assessment.

Pimentel was charged with two charges of driving while intoxicated, five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and five counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law.

According to authorities, his arraignment was set for Saturday, August 16, at First District Court in Hempstead.
