7-Eleven Serving Up Free Slurpees: Here’s When, Why
This year, it’s more than just brain freeze; your tongue is participating as well.
In honor of its 98th birthday, 7-Eleven is giving away a small Slurpee drink at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations around the country.
Friday, July 11, the chain’s namesake, marks the return of 7-Eleven’s Slurpee Day, and the celebration of its 98th birthday is expected to be the most extravagant yet.
The largest convenience store chain in the nation is making a big splash with limited-edition tongue tattoos, free drinks, and daring new flavors.
A complimentary small Slurpee at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes shops across the country is the headline freebie. Simply show up and take a slurp.
However, Tongue-toos, which are temporary tattoos that activate on your tongue after sipping, have made it possible for fans to show off their Slurpee love on their tongue—or rather, their sleeve—this year.
Each comes with the iconic Slurpee S in one of four striking hues: purple, red, green, or blue.
half nostalgia trip, half taste flex, these unique decals are only available to members of 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards at specific locations.
Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl, a blue pineapple-berry blend that is currently offered as a Big Gulp and a Slurpee, is also returned.
Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven, Inc., stated, “We’re experimenting with new flavors, our celebratory swag, and even a twist designed to mark tastebuds in the coolest way possible” on this Slurpee Day. On Slurpee Day and throughout the year, we enjoy coming up with unique ways to enhance the Slurpee drink experience and making memories for our patrons.
Rewards members will receive a coupon for another free Slurpee to use before Thursday, July 31 if they scan their information in-store.
