7-Year-Old Girl Shot In Head During Quadruple Shooting In Philadelphia: Police

On Sunday night, July 27, police in Philadelphia’s 22nd District reported that a youngster had been wounded in the head during a quadruple shooting.

Around 8:24 p.m., Officer Tanya Little reported that the 7-year-old girl had sustained a graze wound to the side of her head on the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue. She is now in stable condition after being transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center in a private vehicle.

According to Little, her mother, 26, was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition after sustaining numerous gunshot wounds.

After being shot many times in the torso, a 29-year-old male was transported to Temple by police. His situation is critical. According to the announcement, at 8:37 p.m., another 26-year-old man was shot several times and declared dead at Temple. The Homicide Unit is looking into it.

Police have not found a motive and no arrests have been made.

Another man was shot several times in the 25th District on the 100 block of West Tioga Street about ten minutes prior. The victim, 42, is still in critical condition after being taken to Temple. The Shooting Investigation Group is working on that matter.

Both investigations are still in progress.
