70-Person Fight Club At Local Park Leads To Arrests Of Two Northport Teens, Police Say
Suffolk County Police said two teenagers from Northport were detained for participating in an illegal fight club at a park in Melville.

Around 4:30 p.m., officers from the Second Precinct Investigative Unit and Second Precinct Anti-Crime Unit arrived at Walt Whitman Park, 2559 New York Ave. Sunday, June 22, after complaints from the community, according to the police.
According to officials, an investigation found that a fight club had been promoted on social media, attracting about 70 attendees.
Finley McCloskey and Jake Zimilies, all 19 and from Northport, were taken into custody by police at the site. According to the agency, they were charged with unlawful assembly.
Both were given Desk Appearance Tickets and will later be arraigned in Central Islip’s First District Court.
