Octavious Dozier Arrested With $90K Weed Shipment At Dulles

According to police, the second significant marijuana arrest at Dulles International Airport in three days occurred when a man from Georgia was apprehended with over 23 pounds of marijuana concealed in his suitcase.

Travelers trying to bring large quantities of marijuana into Europe are still being apprehended by CBP agents.

On Tuesday, August 5, Octavious Lamar Dozier, 27, of Atlanta, was stopped by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents while attempting to board an aircraft that was headed to Dublin with a stopover in Leeds, England.

According to CBP, 14 vacuum-sealed parcels were found inside a hard-sided suitcase during an examination of checked baggage being loaded into the aircraft.

A green leafy substance included in the packages tested positive for marijuana in a field test.

According to CBP, the entire weight of the cache was 23 pounds, 3 ounces, and its street value in the US was around $90,000; in Europe, it might be two or three times more.

Dozier was accused by Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Police with both possession with intent to distribute and transferring a controlled substance into the Commonwealth.

They are both felonies.

According to CBP, the bust comes after a Las Vegas lady traveling to Frankfurt, Germany, had 59 pounds of marijuana seized on Sunday, August 3.

You will be apprehended and subject to criminal penalties if you carry narcotics cargoes for criminal organizations. According to Christine Waugh, Area Port Director for CBP’s Area Port of Washington, DC, “don’t be a fool and do jail time for careless gangs that see you as cheap, disposable labor.”

To hold drug mules and criminal organizations accountable, Customs and Border Protection officers will keep collaborating with our law enforcement partners.

Regardless of state legality, CBP stated that it is still unlawful to export marijuana from the United States or transfer it across state lines under federal law.
