According to Southampton police, Amanda Kempton, 32, is being charged in connection with the death of the 40-year-old Million Dollar Beach Housestar, who was hit on Montauk Highway early on Thursday morning.

According to reports, Kempton said that she thought she had hit a traffic cone at around three in the morning on June 19. However, it was Burack who was taken to a nearby hospital, where she passed away from her injuries from the collision.

According to FOX, Burack was placed on life support after being resuscitate from cardiac arrest at the scene. According to reports, she had multiple brain bleeds, a shattered skull, and severe brain injuries.

According to authorities, Kempton was accused of fleeing the scene of a car collision. On Saturday, she entered a not guilty plea and was freed on $100,000 bail.

According to the New York Post, Kempton “choked back tears as prosecutor MacDonald Drane requested the high bail, describing her as a flight risk who fled the scene and who had been set to return to Virginia Saturday for a wedding.”

In 2020, Burack appeared on the Netflix series, which was eventually acquired by Discovery+ and rebranded as Selling the Hamptons.

It is not thought that alcohol played a role in the collision. If Kempton is found guilty, she may spend seven years behind bars.
