Lynn Hamilton, Sanford And Son, The Waltons Actress, Dies At 95
The Waltons and Sanford and Son star Lynn Hamilton passed away at the age of 95.

Hamilton’s longtime manager and publicist, Rev. Calvin Carson, stated that she died in Chicago from natural causes.
He said she was surrounded by caregivers, loved ones, and grandchildren.
Alzenia was born. The renowned actress Lynn Hamilton-Jenkins leaves a five-decade history in modeling, theater, television, and film.
She made significant performances in the Black soap opera Generations, Lady Sings the Blues, The Waltons, Dangerous Women, and Roots: The Next Generation. She was most known for her role as Donna Harris, Fred Sanford’s nurse girlfriend on Sanford and Son.
Carson said in a public statement, “We celebrate the extraordinary life of iconic actress Alzenia Lynn Hamilton-Jenkins with profound gratitude and admiration, whose remarkable legacy continues to uplift and inspire.” New generations are still inspired by her mesmerizing performances.
In recognition of her contributions to entertainment and the growth of Black actors in Hollywood, Hamilton was also given a prestigious NAACP Award.
She frequently collaborated with her spouse, Frank S. Jenkins, on stage plays such as Nobody and The Bert Williams Story. Their creative and personal collaboration, according to Carson, is a brilliant illustration of love, commitment, and inventiveness.
From 1964 until his passing in 2014, she was wed to Jenkins.
After the announcement of Hamilton’s death, memorials were placed in her honor in abundance.
According to Carson, although her departure signifies the end of an era, her legacy will live on to encourage and empower generations to come.
