Charles McGinley Charged In Scott Schultz s Murder: PPD

Months after a man was discovered shot dead on the basement floor of a house in Northeast Philadelphia, investigators said they had made an arrest.

On Monday, June 23, 2025, Philadelphia Police reported that 45-year-old Scott M. Schultz was discovered unconscious and had been shot in the forehead at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, in the 1300 block of Sellers Street.

Medics declared him dead at 9:12 a.m. At the location, a shell casing of.45 caliber was found.

The residence on Hartel Avenue was in Northeast Philadelphia. Investigators began an investigation headed by the department’s Homicide Unit after classifying his death as a homicide.

Charles McGinley, 36, was taken from Bucks County Prison to 400 North Broad Street, according to investigators on Monday, June 23, 2025. Charges of murder and other felonies will be brought against him.
