Both Peter Gittens and Chambreona Williams
According to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Ren e Robeson, Raritan Township residents Peter Gittens, 37, and Chambreona J. Williams, 33, are accused of forgery, trafficking in personal identifying information, unlawful firearm possession, theft of movable property, and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to Robeson, Raritan Township police looked into a report of a stolen U-Haul van in January. According to Robeson, Williams and Gittens rented apartments in Raritan Township under false pretenses, and Williams fraudulently acquired the U-Haul vehicle.
The defendants were arrested after a traffic stop in April. According to Robeson, a search of their residences revealed that Williams’ two and five-year-old children had been left unattended in the unit.
Numerous false identification documents, credit cards that were either manufactured or fraudulently obtained, over $75,000 worth of stolen U.S. Treasury checks, an illegal credit card skimming device, an unregistered handgun that Peter M. Gittens was not allowed to possess due to a prior conviction, large capacity ammunition magazines, and a stolen cockapoo dog were also found during the defendants’ apartments search, Robeson said.
