What Is Wrong With People? Sister Of Missing PA Woman Katlyn Harp Fires Back At Critics
State police are conducting a thorough investigation with drones, dogs, and specialist search teams after a 33-year-old Columbia County woman disappeared from her home last Thursday.
Harp, Katlyn
Pennsylvania State Police said on Friday, June 27, that Katlyn Harp was last seen at her residence on Fairview Drive in Hemlock Township, close to Bloomsburg, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
According to the description, Harp is a Caucasian woman with blue eyes and blonde hair. The PSP Aviation Unit, K-9 teams, SERT (Special Emergency Response Team), Drone Team, and even the PA Game Commission employing ATVs have been called in, according to the police, who are calling this a highly active investigation.
The investigation was first handled by Hemlock Township police, but because of its intricacy and requirement for more resources, it was transferred over the weekend to PSP Troop N Bloomsburg’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
According to authorities, Katlyn sent her husband, Vincent Vinny Harp, a cryptic text message just before she vanished, stating that she needed a break and would be picked up by a friend. With numerous misspellings, the statement concluded, “Please don’t destroy my shit.” I need time to clear my mind.
The credibility of such communication has not been verified by authorities.
Sister Slams Online Harassment, Distances Family From Vinny Harp
Britney Harp, Katlyn’s sister, addressed the overwhelming online hostility and suspicion about her family on Friday, June 27, with an emotional and incensed statement on social media:
Given the increasing strain on investigators and the internet rumors surrounding Katlyn’s marriage, Britney’s declaration was an uncommon public statement from a family member.
Vincent Harp’s past has been questioned by several internet users. Allegations of domestic violence against his ex-wife, Stephanie Harp, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 33, are detailed in court filings from 2018. In a prior case, Vincent was accused of simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, and terrorist threats. At that moment, he posted $10,000 bond.
It was determined that Stephanie died from an overdose. Family friends, however, claim that despite allegations of documented abuse, there was little police follow-up.
Community members are once more voicing concerns and calling for transparency in the probe as Katlyn’s disappearance develops under questionable circumstances.
