Vineland Elementary School Teacher Possessed Child Porn: Prosecutor

On Thursday, June 26, authorities in Vineland arrested and charged a 50-year-old elementary school teacher with possessing child pornography.

Following the discovery of social media messages revealing evidence of child sexual abuse linked to James Adams’ home in Washington Township, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into Adams.

According to investigators, a search warrant turned up many electronic devices purportedly owned by Adams, including one of the same brand and model that was connected to the social media posts that included content on child sexual assault.

According to authorities, Adams, a third-grade teacher at Dr. William Mennies Elementary School, acknowledged getting the content via social media.

Adams received Teacher of the Month recognition in a Facebook post that has since been removed.

The Vineland School District announced in a statement that it was working with the authorities.
