Zion Smith Charged With Fatally Shooting Jordan Patterson
According to authorities, a 16-year-old Manchester resident has been taken into custody by police in connection with the murder of Windsor Locks resident Jordan Patterson, who was discovered shot inside a vehicle last month.

According to Manchester police, Zion Smith is charged with several charges in connection with the shooting death of Patterson, age 24.
Just before 4 a.m. on May 20, officers were called to the intersection of Irving and Woodland streets. They discovered Patterson in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was declared dead at the spot despite the efforts of paramedics and police to save him.
Smith was connected to the shooting after an inquiry, but authorities claimed he had left the state. The teen was detained and extradited to Connecticut after detectives followed leads to Alabama.
According to authorities, Smith is accused with carrying a dangerous weapon, tampering with evidence, homicide, and unlawful firearm discharge.
