On Saturday, June 29, 2025, Maryland State Police reported that two Howard County residents, Jeffrey Josue Diaz, 24, and Francisco Javier Sanchez-Juarez, 28, were brought into custody without incident.
According to officials, they are being held without bond at the Frederick County Detention Center on charges of first-degree murder and several felonies involving firearms.

The investigation was directed by detectives from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit, with support from the Frederick and Howard County Police Departments, MSP’s Digital Forensic Lab, and the Forensic Sciences Division.
Authorities are urging anyone with knowledge to come forward as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
