Man Robs Gas Station At Gunpoint, Flees With $2.5K In Cash In Hyde Park: Police

According to authorities, a quick and comprehensive investigation led to a significant arrest following an armed robbery at a petrol station in Dutchess County.

According to authorities, Dalton J. Desimone of Florida is charged with robbing the Sunoco gas station located at 4299 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park and making off with $2,500.

Three days after allegedly robbing a Sunoco Gas Station in Hyde Park, Florida resident Dalton J. Desimone, 33, was arrested on Sunday, June 29, according to the Town of Hyde Park Police Department.

On Thursday, June 26, at around 10:51 p.m., the Sunoco station located at 4299 Albany Post Road was robbed. According to the police, Desimone demanded money after entering the store and pulling out what looked to be a black revolver. Then, according to officials, he drove off with about $2,500.

Desimone was promptly identified as the culprit by detectives. Around 10:13 a.m. on Sunday, he and the car that was allegedly used in the crime were taken into custody without any problems, the agency said.

Desimone faces the following charges:

  • First-degree robbery;
  • Fourth-degree grand larceny;
  • Second-degree menacing.

He was committed to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center after being charged in Hyde Park Town Court on a $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 bond, or a $250,000 partially secured bond.
