Massive Explosion Levels Home In Rosedale: Officials
According to the Baltimore County Fire Department, a house in a peaceful Rosedale neighborhood burst and was devastated overnight, triggering a significant emergency reaction and investigation.

When firefighters arrived to the 8100 block of Callo Lane just after two in the morning on Tuesday, July 1, they discovered the house entirely demolished and the fire suppression process underway, according to officials.
With assistance from other agencies, firefighters managed to bring the event under control in about an hour.
Officials said that the fire was contained at 2:59 a.m. Later, it was verified that nobody was inside the house when the explosion occurred.
There were no reported injuries.
After receiving assistance from several organizations, including Baltimore County Police, ATF, BGE, and Howard County fire departments, BCoFD reported in a final update just after 8:30 a.m. that one adjoining residence was damaged.
County Executive Kathy Klausmeier expressed her gratitude to the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Fire Department teams for their prompt action this morning in Rosedale.
“All of us in Baltimore County are praying for the families affected by this incident and are grateful to see that no injuries have been reported.”
The reason of the explosion is still being looked into.
