According to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, Jovan Anthony Martin, 33, entered a guilty plea in April to over a dozen felony and misdemeanor offenses, including two counts of not possessing a firearm and four counts of methamphetamine delivery.

Earlier this week, Judge David Ashworth sentenced the defendant to seven and a half to 27 years in prison.

Between September 2022 and March 2023, Martin allegedly made four separate deliveries to homes in Lancaster city and orchestrated the drug purchases over the phone, according to investigators. In April 2023, while carrying out a search warrant at his residence in the 400 block of East Orange Street, police found two firearms, one of which was stolen, and 185 grams of methamphetamine.

Martin was not allowed to own any firearms because he was a convicted felon.

The case was prosecuted by Benjamin Baker, an assistant district attorney. The accusations were brought by Sergeant Jonathan Reppert and Detective Brandon McCormick of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.
