74-Year-Old NJ Man Killed In Head-On Crash On Route 347, State Police Say
Early on Friday, July 4, a head-on collision on Route 347 in Cumberland County claimed the life of a 74-year-old Woodbine man, according to State Police.
According to Sgt. Charles Marchan, troopers arrived on the scene at 12:04 a.m. in Maurice River Township, close to milepost 2.8.
According to Marchan’s preliminary inquiry, the man was traveling north on the highway in a Toyota Matrix when he crossed the centerline and collided with a Ram pickup truck.
The Toyota driver died as a result of his injuries. According to authorities, his identity is being kept secret until his next of kin is notified.
The Ram’s driver was sent to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations into the crash are still ongoing. No other information was made public.
