When Prince William County Police Department officers went to a report of a fight involving minors in the vicinity of Dumfries Road and Tallon Drive in Dumfries at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, the crazy ordeal began.

One of the teenagers involved, who was later identified as the 14-year-old Woodbridge girl who was accused, fled as police were resolving the situation and ran directly across several lanes of traffic on Dumfries Road, according to the police.

Although she was apprehended right away, authorities claimed that once she was in the back of an officer’s vehicle, her behavior changed from reckless to insane.

The teenager began kicking the window, then kicked one cop and bit another, according to the police. One officer was slightly hurt in the altercation, and officers had to re-secure her.

According to authorities, the teenager was eventually taken into custody and charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement official, obstruction of justice, and property destruction.

The Juvenile Detention Center housed her. Her court date has not yet been set.
