Infant Airlifted After Frederick SUV Crashes Into Pole, Home Dies At Hospital: State Police
According to Maryland State Police, a 6-month-old boy lost his life in a single-vehicle collision in Frederick County on Sunday morning.

At 10:53 a.m. on July 6, troopers arrived at the 12000 block of Woodsboro Pike (Maryland Route 194) near Keymar. According to investigators, a Dodge Durango had swerved off the road, struck a telephone pole, and then collided with an unoccupied house.
According to authorities, the baby was declared deceased after being transported to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center via Maryland State Police helicopter.
In the SUV, a 26-year-old lady and a 3-year-old son were transported by paramedics to Johns Hopkins Hospital after suffering injuries.
According to state police, the Durango’s driver was unharmed.
Although the cause of the driver’s departure from the road is unknown, investigators stated that impairment is not thought to be a contributing factor.
Following the collision, Maryland Route 194 was closed in all lanes.
While Maryland State Police’s Crash Team began their investigation, State Highway Administration personnel assisted in closing the route.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
