Glen Burnie, 7069 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd.

Due to potential contamination, Food Lion has recalled a number of ground beef kinds that were sold at a single location in Anne Arundel County, officials said.

According to a notification from the firm, the recall only affects certain in-store prepared ground beef items made on July 4 after 2:00 p.m. with a “Sell By Date” of July 6 at Food Lion’s location at 7069 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. in Glen Burnie.

Food Lion claims that there might be evidence of foreign material in the beef. As of Sunday, July 6, there have been no reports of illness or injury.

Products affected include:

  • 73 percent Lean Fresh Ground Beef (all sizes);
  • 80 percent Lean Fresh Ground Chuck (all sizes);
  • 85 percent Lean Fresh Ground Beef Round (all sizes);
  • 93 percent Lean Fresh Ground Beef (small pack).

Officials stated that no other Food Lion stores or goods are impacted by the recall, which is restricted to this particular shop in Maryland.

Customers are advised to return the ground beef to the store for a complete refund rather than eating it.

Food Lion’s Double Your Money Back Guarantee states that customers will receive a refund double the amount they originally paid.
