Oceanport Man Killed After Crashing Into Trees: Tinton Falls PD

According to officials, a single-car collision in Tinton Falls on Sunday night, July 6, claimed the life of a 25-year-old man from Oceanport.

When police arrived on Shafto Road about 11 p.m., they discovered a white 2014 Volkswagen Jetta had veered off the right side of the road and collided with many trees, according to Tinton Falls police.

According to police, Robert Mendez was declared deceased at the scene. According to authorities, the crash is still being investigated.
