Shot Fired On I-91 In North Haven: Bridgeport, Woodbridge Men Charged In Road Rage Incident
According to Connecticut State Police, a road-rage altercation got violent, and one bullet went through the front pillar of a car on I-91 south close to Exit 10 in North Haven.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, Andre Smith, 34, of Bridgeport, is suspected of firing a round at Jonathan Yanagisawa, 30, of Woodbridge, who was driving the car. However, no one was injured.
Following the shooting, Yanagisawa called the police. Police quickly located Smith after he used his dash camera to record the license plate and car.
According to authorities, Smith turned in his firearm and acknowledged that he had been in a road rage incident. He fired one shot at the other car because he was afraid for his personal safety because of the other driver’s driving style.
Both males were charged and arrested by the police.
Smith was accused of assault, reckless endangerment, and unlawful firearm discharge. According to officials, he was being held on a $150,000 bond.
Yanagisawa was accused of dangerous driving, reckless endangerment, and operating a motor vehicle with the aim to harass or intimidate. According to authorities, he was freed after paying a $2,500 fine.
