Lane restrictions begin Sunday on Bristol approach to Mount Hope Bridge

As part of ongoing construction, the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority will begin lane limitations on the Bristol approach to the Mount Hope Bridge on Sunday.

Over the course of the upcoming week, traffic will alternate in a single lane during four designated periods:

July 27, Sunday, 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday July 28, Monday, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. TuesdayBetween 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. July 30, Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The executive director of the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority, Lori Caron Silveira, stated, “We appreciate drivers’ patience and acknowledge that this project may cause delays.” As we finish this work, we sincerely regret any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s cooperation.

When driving through the work zone, the authority recommended drivers to be cautious, prepare ahead, and anticipate any delays.
