Nationwide Ice Cream Recall Issued
A well-known frozen dessert brand has been removed from stores across the country due to a labeling error that caused milk allergy sufferers to become concerned.
Single bars of coconut, strawberry, mango, cookies and cream, and bubble gum are among the impacted products, which are sold all over the country.
The Ontario, California-based Tropicale Foods is recalling a few Helados Mexico and La Michoacana ice cream items because the ingredient listings did not include milk even though they contained cream.
According to federal regulators, consuming the recalled products puts those who have strong sensitivities or milk allergies at risk for severe or fatal responses.
