On Tuesday, federal officials revealed that Robert Henry, a US Navy Petty Officer Second Class from Norfolk, had been sentenced to six years in prison for obtaining child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Court filings show that in November 2024, the Norfolk Police Department received a complaint alleging that Henry, 43, had CSAM on his laptop.
After Henry turned over his computer, two hard drives, and a cell phone, 176 CSAM films and 119 CSAM photos showing at least 27 underage victims were recovered.
Not much better, the officer’s search history demonstrated that he was aware that what he was doing was improper.
On his gadgets, the keywords “Teens and Schoolgirls” and “Teen XXX Groups” were discovered. Later, it was discovered that he used many chat applications to locate more groups of people who shared his interests and seek illegal materials.
Henry removed one of those apps at one time, according to the prosecution, saying that “there are people looking for predators.”
