New England Serial Killer?: State Police Chief Opens Up About Those Rumors

Numerous posts claiming a serial killer is at large in New England have been posted for months by amateur internet investigators and true crime fans. Although authorities have mostly refrained from discussing the hypotheses up to this point, these stay-at-home Sherlock Holmeses have discussed purported discoveries and links.

In an interview with the Boston Herald that was published on Sunday, August 10, Massachusetts State Police Col. Geoffrey Noble offered his first opinion. He stated that although troopers are investigating the cases, they have not yet discovered any proof that would connect them to any particular madman.

Noble told the site, “As a former homicide detective, I am definitely keeping up with the news of these tragic deaths.” As of this now, there is no proof that a serial killer exists.

According to Noble, investigators keep a close eye on these situations and are cognizant of them. Furthermore, we will undoubtedly pay attention to the cases if we find any similarities or consistency amongst them.

They have speculated that a single maniac is responsible for the fatalities after seeing links to several deaths in all six New England states in recent months. Police said there isn’t a verified pattern linking the crimes, though. While some are still being investigated, others have been labeled homicides.
