It might not be long until Kilmar Abrego Garcia returns to Maryland and the United States.

President Trump displays a picture of Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s tattoos, which include both letters and symbols, which he says is unmistakable evidence of his gang affiliations.

The father of three from Maryland was ordered to return home to his family after being deported to an infamous Salvadoran prison because of “an administrative error.” He was later released from custody in Tennessee.

According to sources, Abrego Garcia, a suspected former member of the MS-13 gang, is now expected to be deported to Uganda after declining to enter a guilty plea to charges of people smuggling, which would have allowed him to complete his sentence in Costa Rica.

According to what his defense lawyers wrote, “The government told Mr. Abrego that he has until exactly the first thing Monday morning to report to ICE’s Baltimore Field Office to accept a plea in exchange for deportation to Costa Rica, or else that offer will be off the table forever.”

Uncertainty surrounds whether Abrego Garcia would be free or imprisoned in Uganda or Costa Rica.

After being deported and put to CECOT in March, Abrego Garcia was brought back to the United States and held in Putnam County, Tennessee, on unrelated accusations.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped Abrego Garcia for speeding on December 1, 2022. According to officials, the encountering officer saw eight other people in the car when he approached it.

The absence of luggage in the car made the authorities believe that this was a case of people trafficking.

“During the interview, Abrego Garcia pretended to speak less English than he was capable of and attempted to put the encountering officer off-track by responding to questions with questions,” officials stated.

“When asked what relationship he had with the registered owner of the vehicle, Abrego Garcia replied that the owner of the vehicle is his boss, and that he worked in construction.”

Kristi Noem, the secretary of HSI, spoke harshly about Abrego Garcia after his release on Friday.

“Today, we reached a new low with this publicity hungry Maryland judge mandating this illegal alien who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator be allowed free,” she stated.

“By ordering this monster loose on America s streets, this judge has shown a complete disregard for the safety of the American people,” she said. “We will not stop fighting till this Salvadoran man faces justice and is OUT of our country.”

The battle just starts with Abrego Garcia’s release, according to Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, who has supported Garcia and traveled to El Salvador to see him.

“(He) must continue to be allowed to defend himself in court, where the Trump administration must make its case before taking any further action against him,” he stated.

“This is a matter that’s greater than just this one case or one man if one person’s rights are denied, then the rights of all of us are at risk.”
