Unrecognizable? Matt Lauer s Rare Long Island Sighting Has Fans Stunned

Some former fans were taken aback by the troubled former Today Show host Matt Lauer’s appearance during his infrequent public appearance on Long Island.

Lauer was photographed by celebrity photographer Danny Ordonez on an evening out in Sag Harbor, but several people found his appearance startling and made remarks about his attire.

Lauer is clean-shaven and wearing dazzlingly white shoes and trousers, along with a brightly patterned black-and-white shirt.

Ordonez captioned his Instagram photo, “Matt Lauer keeping it low-key in Sag Harbor after a dinner outing, the former Today Show co-anchor looked calm and relaxed,” but followers had different ideas.

“Low key? “With that shirt?” One person added, “Low profile while wearing a piano shirt?” to the query posed by another.

Others questioned the 67-year-old’s choice of attire.

One admirer said, “That shirt and skinny jeans at his age… I have some questions,” but not all of the comments were negative.

A different fan commented, “I don’t understand the big fuss,” “Matt keeps himself well and looks good. He’s knowledgeable but easygoing. Did anyone anticipate that he would be dressed in a suit?

Another said, “Are you serious? These unfavorable remarks. He looks fantastic! calmed. Cool. attractive. Not at all Nancy is welcome to sit down.

Before being let go for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace,” after an investigation in November 2017, Lauer was one of NBC’s faces for over 20 years.
