Elon Musk Steps Back From America Party Plans, Report Says

A fresh report suggests that Elon Musk’s daring attempt to upend American politics by bringing in a new third party is on hold.

According to a recent source, the billionaire businessman is now subtly abandoning the concept of forming the so-called America Party, which he announced last month following a poll on his social media platform X.

On Wednesday, August 20, the Wall Street Journal reported that Musk has effectively given up on his third-party aspirations in favor of cultivating ties with influential Republicans, particularly Vice President JD Vance, who is thought by some to be a strong candidate for president in 2028.

More scientific polling revealed that popular support for the America Party was significantly lower than Musk’s original X poll indicated, prompting the change.

On Friday, July 4, Musk asked his X followers if they wanted to break away from the two-party system, starting his experiment with a new political force.

Musk promised to restore your freedom when he announced the creation of the America Party the following day, after more than 65 percent of voters said “yes.” However, there were few facts, so detractors—including former President Donald Trump—jumped right in.

According to reports, Musk’s team has canceled meetings with outside organizers, indicating a return to his business origins and a wish to avoid upsetting his Republican allies.

The America Party is still on hold, and Musk’s political future is still up in the air.
