At the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a 2-year-old girl from Maryland is fighting for her life, and the entire community is rallying to support her.

Before receiving a shocking cancer diagnosis recently, Gracie had battled inexplicable symptoms her entire life and had seen numerous doctors.

“After numerous unsuccessful treatments, specialists at CHOP have worked tirelessly to uncover a diagnosis,” a family friend said, but her health is still challenging.

According to the organizers of a campaign set up for the family, this journey has been emotionally and financially taxing for them. The growing expenditures of travel, prolonged hospital stays, meals away from home, and other unforeseen expenses are taking a significant toll, and there are no definitive remedies or end in sight.

According to Courtney Rangel, the money raised will be used specifically for hospital bills and medical-related fees, food, everyday needs while away from home, transport expenses between Maryland and Philadelphia, and “any unforeseen expenses that arise during this uncertain time.”

The family revealed that Gracie had a complete tumor removal on August 5 in an update made by the girl’s mother, Kelsey Malinofsky, on Friday, August 8.

According to Malinofsky, the surgeon was able to remove it completely. We are awaiting confirmation of the following steps from pathology.

Her mother went on to say, “Gracie has been up and playing for the past day,” “The first day and a half was tough pain-wise but she s amazing and so strong.”

“I’m praying for the next piece of good news or for the fortitude to handle whatever news comes our way.

As of Wednesday, August 13, AGoFundMehad had received 379 donations, exceeding its $31,000 target.

Arynn Young and other community members have started other fundraising initiatives, such selling T-shirts, with all proceeds going to the family.

Contributions can be sent to Gracie’s family’s GoFundMe page here.

“Your generosity and encouragement mean more than words can say,” Rangel continued. “Let s come together to lift this family up with love, compassion, and practical support during one of the most difficult times in their lives.”
