BMW Crashes, Flips In Parkway Fatal, 2 Flee Scene In Woodbridge,

A BMW SUV carrying four people of Staten Island crashed and flipped along the Garden State Parkway, killing one and badly injuring another, according to New Jersey State Police.

According to a state police release, the collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Woodbridge on Sunday, June 29, just after 7 p.m., close to milepost 130.2.

According to troopers, the BMW SUV ran off the road, collided with several trees, then overturned after colliding with two other cars—a Ford SUV and a another BMW passenger car.

According to authorities, two of the four occupants of the BMW SUV left the scene.

One traveler was declared deceased. According to authorities, another was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Police said the drivers of the BMW passenger car and the Ford SUV were unharmed.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing. At this time, no additional information is being made public.

State Police are requesting that anyone with dash cam footage from the scene or who may have observed the collision call the Troop D Holmdel Station Detective Bureau at 732-441-4500, extension 7426.
