Ashley Guimont Charged With Killing Boyfriend Alex Carter

On July 4, Suffolk County Police said that a lady had shot and murdered her partner following a violent domestic altercation inside their Coram home early on Friday morning.

After a violent altercation broke out at around 2:30 a.m., Ashley Guimont, 44, opened fire on Alex Carter, 47, inside their Townehouse Drive residence, according to police.

Soon after the shooting, Guimont dialed 911. According to the authorities, Carter was taken to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson and declared dead there.

Detectives from the Homicide Squad apprehended Guimont at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder.

She was detained overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to appear on Saturday, July 5 for arraignment in Central Islip’s First District Court.
