Broken Jaw, Lost Teeth: Northfield Boy Seriously Injured In E-Bike Crash, Campaign Says
According to a campaign organized to help his family, a 13-year-old kid from Northfield suffered significant injuries after colliding with his bike.
Reggi Cash
Cash Reggi was at Linwood Park on Monday, August 11th, meeting his sister on his e-bike. According to Rebecca Sharra, who coordinated the fundraiser, he crashed while there after turning into a bike path too quickly, landing face-first on the pavement.
Reggi had innumerable scrapes and bruises, lost teeth, had multiple cuts that required numerous stitches, and shattered his jaw in three places.
His jaw was shattered during recent surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and he will need to have it wired shut for two to four weeks. He will have dental treatment and tooth replacement after his jaw heals.
“Cash’s recuperation will take a long time. But Cash is one of the most resilient and driven children you will ever meet, according to those who know him,” Sharra noted. “He s motivated to heal from this as quickly as possible so he can get back onto the ice to do what he loves most, to rejoin his AC Sharks ice hockey team.”
The money raised will be used to cover his family’s medical bills, dental care, lost income, and travel expenditures.
Over five thousand dollars has been raised as of Tuesday, August 19.
