Jefran, Jeffrey Canales-Tapia Busted In Allentown Drug Raid
Authorities said Thursday, Aug. 14, that they had found nine kilograms of cocaine valued at over half a million dollars in a significant drug arrest in Allentown.

According to Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca and Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan, two brothers, Jefran Canales-Tapia, 39, and Jeffrey Canales-Tapia, 37, of Allentown, are being charged with several drug offenses after search warrants were executed at their residences earlier in the day.
Jefran Canales-Tapia, who resides at 1153 E. Tremont St., will face charges of simple possession of cocaine, criminal conspiracy to possess with intent to supply cocaine, and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
A criminal conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver cocaine, two counts of simple possession (cocaine and marijuana), possession of a small amount of marijuana, and two counts of possession with intent to deliver (cocaine and marijuana) are the charges against Jeffrey Canales-Tapia, who resides at 751 W. Emaus Ave.
Police found nine kilograms of cocaine worth over $500,000 at the East Tremont Street residence during the raid, and they also found a half-pound of marijuana and a significant quantity of cash at the West Emaus Avenue residence, according to investigators.
Following a coordinated investigation by the Lehigh County Drug Task Force and the Allentown Police Vice Unit, with support from the Lehigh County Warrant Service Team and the Emergency Response Team of the Allentown Police Department, the arrests were made. The Liberty Mid-Atlantic High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area initiative provided funding for the operation.
