George Dimou Hit Pizza, Ice Cream Shops In Shirley Spree: PD

A 55-year-old man was taken into custody in relation to a series of Long Island business break-ins.

After being connected by Suffolk County Police to multiple recent break-ins at Shirley businesses, Middle Island resident George Dimou was arrested on Sunday, July 6.

According to authorities, Dimou was captured on camera robbing Carlo’s Pizza on Glen Drive at around three in the morning and taking money.

Seventh Squad detectives are accused of linking Dimou to four more break-ins:

  • Andy s Nails, 411 William Floyd Parkway, on Monday, June 2
  • Carvel, 492 William Floyd Parkway, on Sunday, June 15, Sunday, June 22, and again on Saturday, July 5
  • Carlo s Pizza, 451 Glen Drive, on July 6

Dimou faces three charges of criminal mischief, five counts of burglary, and criminal possession of a controlled narcotic.
