Tyler Caetano Accused Of Making Sexual Comments To Children

After harassing several youngsters close to a downtown store and attempting to flee from police, a Connecticut man is facing significant charges.

Caetano, Tyler

After officers responded to reports of a suspicious guy on Main Street making lewd and sexual remarks to youths at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, Tyler Caetano, 36, of Colchester, was identified, according to Connecticut State Police.

The caller said that a man riding a bicycle was bothering people and making lewd and sexual remarks, according to the police. Officers were informed by three minors that Caetano waited for them outside of a company and told them he wanted to have sex with them.

Around 9 p.m., a second report was received from a residence on Lebanon Avenue, but the man had already fled before the police arrived. One resident reported hearing similar upsetting remarks from a man she knew only as Tyler in her backyard.

According to the police, they located the individual who fit the previous description and told him to halt, but he resisted and fought capture.

Caetano attempted to open the door of the police cruiser so he could jump out as troopers drove him to the jail for processing.

Caetano was accused of second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer, and posing a danger of harm to a youngster. Authorities claimed he was being jailed on a $100,000 bond.

Anyone with more information is urged to get in touch with Colchester police, according to the police.
