Elderly Man Struck, Critically Injured By Porsche SUV In Oceanside: Police

Authorities in Nassau County reported that an 80-year-old man was left barely alive after being run down by a Porsche SUV.

According to Nassau County police, the collision occurred on Lower Lincoln Avenue in Oceanside just before 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.

Investigators said the luxury car, a 2019 Porsche SUV driven by a 29-year-old lady, struck the victim as it was traveling south while he was walking west.

He suffered severe injuries and was taken to a neighboring hospital.

The driver didn’t leave the area. There were no other recorded injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the matter is being handled by the Homicide Squad.
