A man was handcuffed after attempting to have sex from an undercover police officer who was pretending to be a juvenile online during a visit to a fast-food establishment in Maryland.

Following an investigation into a man who solicited sex with a Maryland State Police investigator he met through an online app, Rohit Agarwal, 48, of Ellicott City, is being charged, according to officials.

According to the police, Agarwal spoke with the undercover agent before being taken into custody on Tuesday, August 19, in the Anne Arundel County fast-food restaurant parking lot.

Investigators from the Maryland State Police, assisted by the Fort Meade Army Criminal Investigation Office, met Agarwal at the scene without any problems.

Agarwal was arrested and charged with one count of sexual solicitation of a juvenile. As of Wednesday afternoon, he was being transported to the District Court of Anne Arundel County, pending his initial court appearance.
