After reportedly attempting to run down a public works worker in an area where construction is underway, a 26-year-old man from New York is accused of striking him.
Sutliff, Michael.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports that Hadley resident Michael Sutliff was taken into custody on Tuesday, July 29, after a violent altercation in a Lake Luzerne work zone.
According to authorities, Sutlif disregarded posted traffic limits and drove his 2017 Ram truck carelessly through a road crew site close to East River Drive and Rose Avenue. According to authorities, he then veered in the direction of a DPW employee, perhaps attempting to strike him on purpose.
According to authorities, Sutliff turned hostile and hit the victim in the face after the worker stopped him and challenged him.
After being taken into custody, Sutliff was accused of second-degree reckless endangerment, harassment, and reckless driving in addition to disobeying a traffic control device.
He was released after being arraigned, and he will next appear in Lake Luzerne Town Court.
