High-Speed Pursuit Leads Troopers To Cocaine:

On Monday, August 11, New York State Police said that four suspects were charged with felony narcotics possession during a fast-paced police pursuit in Menands.
In a prior case, NYSP troopers found cocaine in a backpack.

According to authorities, at approximately 12:29 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, troopers attempted to stop a northbound car on I-787 for a traffic infraction. After reportedly refusing to stop, the motorist, Mamadou O. Diallo, 28, of St. Albans, led to a two-mile chase before coming to a stop. Investigators reported that Diallo was arrested at the site.
According to troopers, the passengers were also taken into custody. They were named as Mamadou A. Balde, Hadja Z. Bah, 23, of Brooklyn, and Alhousseiny Bah, 31, of New York. According to the announcement, cocaine found in several plastic bags was found during a search of the car.
According to police, the four were accused of third-degree felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Diallo is also charged with multiple traffic infractions, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree.
According to officials, they were processed at SP Latham before being transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
