Argueta Fuentes, Jacobo

On Tuesday, July 23, in Ossining, ICE’s Buffalo Enforcement and Removal Operations team detained 33-year-old Jacobo Argueta Fuentes, according to federal authorities.

In addition to seven counts of rape, two counts of employing a child in a sexual performance, four counts of sexual abuse, and two counts of encouraging prostitution, the 33-year-old, who entered the country illegally around 2011, was found guilty of more than a dozen sex crimes involving kids, according to ICE.

Innocent youngsters in the state of New York were sexually exploited and dehumanized by this criminal alien, according to ICE Buffalo Deputy Field Office Director Joseph Freden. Anyone who engages in this heinous and disgusting act against children will not be allowed to continue by ICE.

According to ICE, Argueta first came into contact with immigration officials on March 1, 2019, at Riverhead Correctional Facility in Suffolk County (Long Island), where he acknowledged breaking the law years prior to that.

On January 9, 2020, he received a six-year jail term and was housed in the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

According to officials, ICE filed an immigration detainer for Argueta’s release in May 2023. In December 2024, an immigration judge ordered his deportation.

He is currently being held by ICE until his deportation.
