Man Shot In Neck In Danbury, Suspect Crashes Police Car During Chase

Following a chase that ended when the alleged Danbury shooter collided with a police vehicle close to the New York border, a man was shot in the neck.

According to Danbury police, the incident took place close to 2 Lake Avenue on Friday night, August 22. Officers discovered a male victim who had been shot in the neck when they got on the site.

Before paramedics arrived and transported him to a nearby hospital, officers offered medical help. The man’s name and a health update were not disclosed by the police.

The suspect’s car was promptly located in the vicinity by the authorities. The car collided with a Danbury Police cruiser on I-84 West following a short pursuit, according to the police. Officers found a firearm and took the driver into custody.

When the cruiser was struck, a cop from Danbury was hurt. The officer’s injuries, according to the police, were not serious.

Since the investigation is ongoing, the suspect has not been named.
