Man Steals Over $800 In Protein Shakes From CVS In Rye: Police

Weeks after allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of protein shakes from a Westchester CVS, a Brooklyn man was taken into custody, according to the police.

Brooklyn resident Kazeem Walker, age 23.

The City of Rye Police Department reported on Wednesday, August 20, that two guys stole $838.98 worth of Ensure Protein Shakes from a CVS on Monday, August 4, and then drove off in a black Nissan.

One of the suspects was found to be Brooklyn resident Kazeem Walker, age 23. According to police, Rye City Court issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday, August 12.

Walker was pulled up by Rye detectives on Wednesday morning, August 20, when he was making an appearance in Eastchester Town Court on other charges. After appearing before a judge in Rye City Court, he was freed on his own recognizance, according to the police.

Walker’s next court appearance is set for Tuesday, August 26 at 9:00 a.m.

The arrest follows another reported theft from CVS in Rye on Friday, August 15, in which two juveniles are accused of stealing more than $100 worth of products.To learn more about the incident, go here.
