Maryland State Police Renew Call For Tips In 1989 Murder Of Colleen Powell West

Maryland State Police are now again requesting the public’s assistance in bringing Colleen Powell West’s killer to justice, over thirty years after she was discovered dead in the Wicomico County woods.

According to troopers, the 26-year-old West was last seen alive on the evening of September 8, 1989, at the Sportsmans Pub on Roland Street in Salisbury. The following day, her body was found in a secluded location close to Wango along Bear Swamp Road.

Her case is still open.

In order to help finish the case and provide West’s loved ones with long-awaited answers, investigators are now making a renewed effort to gather information, no matter how minor.
