Silvestre Herrera-Vasquez Arrested For Rape In Malvern
On Tuesday, July 30, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations Philadelphia announced the arrest of a Mexican national who was wanted for rape in Malvern.
On July 28, Silvestre Herrera-Vasquez was arrested in Malvern.
According to authorities, ERO Philadelphia, Homeland Security Investigations Philadelphia, IRS Philadelphia, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Philadelphia arrested 48-year-old Silvestre Herrera-Vasquez on Monday, July 28.
Herrera-Vasquez has a criminal record in Philadelphia and entered the country at an unspecified time and date. On May 15, 2011, he was arrested by police for retail theft while using the identity Alex Acosta. In August of 2011, he was found guilty and punished.
According to officials, Herrera-Vasquez was the subject of a warrant for strongarm rape issued by the Philadelphia Police Department on January 10, 2014, under the identity Marcos Garcia-Reyes.
According to authorities, Herrera-Vasquez will be processed for expedited removal and will stay in ICE custody while removal procedures are underway.
