Motorcyclist, 21, Killed In I-495 Crash With Work Truck In Fort Washington, State Police Say
Maryland State Police said a 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Prince George’s County when he collided with a commercial vehicle on I-495.
The deadly collision is being looked into by Maryland State Police.
Investigators have named the rider who was involved in a collision and died at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center as Camron Amirion Stroud, a resident of Upper Marlboro.
On Saturday, August 23, just after 7:30 p.m., a collision was reported in the southbound lanes of the interstate close to the Fort Washington ramp leading to Saint Barnabas Road.
According to investigators, Stroud was traveling south on I-495 on a Suzuki motorcycle when he struck a commercial vehicle traveling south as well.
Responding troopers from the Forestville and College Park Barracks, as well as State Highway Administration staff, helped manage traffic and close roads for over three hours.
The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
