One Killed, Another Injured In Small Plane Crash Onto NY Road: Police
Police said Friday, Aug. 1, that a tiny plane carrying two men crashed onto a road in a neighborhood of New York, killing one and wounding the other.

Rochester Police Captain Greg Bello said the collision occurred just after 1:30 p.m. north of State Route 104, close to Maplewood Park.
According to Bello, no cars were involved when the plane crashed on Bridge View Drive in the Maplewood district of Rochester. One man was pulled from the wreckage and sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was declared dead at the site. Their identities are still under wraps.
Officials said the hazmat team responded after fire firefighters stabilized the aircraft and verified a fuel leak.
The inquiry into the cause of the incident will be headed by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration. According to officials, the region where the two men were flying is still being investigated.
As the investigation and cleanup proceed, Bridge View Drive is still off-limits to vehicles. A timeline for the area’s reopening has not been offered by the police.
